Mosman-Neutral Bay Rifle Club held its Challenge Teams match for 2006 on Saturday morning the 11th February prior to the 500 metre Grade Match. This was the 9th year that the matches have been held and thirteen teams entered the event. Mosman-Neutral Bay fielded 4 teams, with 2 each from Rail & Tram and Holsworthy clubs and teams from Marrickville, Port Jackson, Concord, West Wallsend, and Gosford.
After shooting was completed all teams gathered in the MNBRC Hut for a light lunch and the presentation of prizes. Captain Wendy McGuigan welcomed all the competing clubs and thanked them particularly for supporting Team Shooting as part of our sport.
Handicaps are given as 0 for Master Grade, 1 for A Grade, 3 for B Grade and 5 for C Grade.
The weather was good, beginning cloudy with light north-east winds giving everyone a good chance.
John Brooker from Yorkshire Club volunteered as the Range Officer for the day and MNBRC thanks John for his efforts and support
Off-rifle Winners for the day, after a drought of some 5 years, was the MNBRC White Team of Karen Berman, Wendy McGuigan , Ross Chaplin and Andrew Wilson . Coaching this team was Steve Negus .

Their score of 298.31 pipped West Wallsend on 297.36.
Handicap Winners were the West Wallsend Club with the score of 299.36 by Rex Waite, Don & Cheryl Brook and Col Garvin.
