Over its 100-year history as one of Australia's most successful rifle clubs, Mosman Neutral Bay Rifle Club has notched up some milestones. Some of the more recent ones are available here, excerpts of others in the history pages elsewhere on the site.
100th Anniversary Preparations
The Empire was in the throes of the Great War of 1914-18 and the residents of Mosman and Neutral Bay wanted a Rifle Club and Training Corps
100th Anniversary Party
Mosman-Neutral Bay Rifle Club Centenary
The Club was formed in the early days of WW1 as a drill and shooting training corps to prepare men for going into the armed services. Over 700 men joined the club, and 243 of these went overseas with the AIF.
Tony McGuigan Nominated
Tony McGuigan was recently nominated as coach of the year by the NRAA. He is now a finalist for Shooting Australia's 2014 Coach of the Year award.
2006 Challenge Teams Event
Mosman-Neutral Bay Rifle Club held its Challenge Teams match for 2006 on Saturday morning the 11th February prior to the 500 metre Grade Match. This was the 9th year that the matches have been held and thirteen teams entered the event.
Mosman-Neutral Bay Rifle Club has taken possession of its new Electronic Targets for use in Club Shoots beginning from the first Saturday in July 2008. The targets are manufactured by Kongsberg Mikroelektronikk in Norway and are the same as those installed at Swanbourne Range in Perth.
Tony McGuigan Wins Lithgow
Sunday the 4th December 2005 saw 5 Club members travel to Lithgow for the Lithgow Rifle Club Open Prize Meeting. In tricky conditions, Tony McGuigan ran out the winner by 9 centres with his score of 149.19.
A first in the Davis Series placed Tony McGuigan in a strong position to win his 3rd Grand Aggregate in Tasmania in March this year.
John Kril wins at Hornsby
Congratulations to John Kril who shot his first triple possible yesterday at the North Shore DRA and snuck into last spot in the Masters top 8 shoot off.
Grade with Electronic Targets

90th Anniversary Press Release
The Mosman-Neutral Bay Rifle Club recently held a luncheon in celebration of its 90th Anniversary at Spilter's Restaurant, The Spit, Mosman.
95th Anniversary - Harbourside
Today is an important day for the club. It's handing its written history and records, dating to 1915, to the local studies collection at Mosman Library. The memorabilia have been rescued from cardboard boxes at the clubhouse.
Frank McDermott Receives his Baggy Blue
In 1956, popular Club Member Frank McDermott was selected for the first time to shoot in the NSW State Team, becoming the 296th shooter to represent the state.
