Sporter or Hunter Class

For those who have already bought sporting or hunting rifles and wish to use them to compete at longer ranges, the limited Sporter Class has been set up. Rifles must be a standard factory-made walk-around sporting/hunting/vermin rifle without any of the sophistications that would otherwise make it a TR, Match or F-Class rifle.

 

Sights can be any kind, including telescopic sights. Barrels may not be longer than 26 inches. Any safe calibre, any safe ammunition. Triggers need not have a minimum pull weight, but must not release in a vigourous bolt-cycling test. Magazines may be used. Bipods may be used. Maximum weight 6.5kgs including sights and bipod if used.

 

Sporter is the newest class in long range target shooting and is proving very popular with newer shooters keen to test themselves at long range.
